Schools
Students from all over Beaver County will be competing in a contest to win one of three scholarships to a Pennsylvania college sponsored by Senator LaValle and Representatives Veon, Biancucci, and Ramaley. The best student essay or project that most successfully explains and explores the larger themes of To Kill a Mockingbird will take home a $1000 scholarship, second place is a $750 scholarship, and third place is a $500 scholarship. The essays and projects will be voted on by a panel of teachers and librarians. The following area high schools are participating.
