Current services update

  • Book Returns - All books can now be returned to drop offs. Reminder all items checked out before the closures are due June 30th. All returned materials are quarantined before being processed.

  • Check Outs - Items on hold can now be checked out for curbside or grab and go pickup. Contact your library for more information.

  • Computer Use - Limited computer use by appointment will be available at some libraries beginning June 22nd. Please contact your library for more information.

  • In Library Browsing - Some libraries may begin offering limited in person services on June 29. Please call your library for the details on what they are offering.

The Beaver County Library System provides children with many opportunities to expand their interest in reading. In addition to the system-wide kids programs held at all of our member libraries, many locations offer other unique activities and programs for kids of all ages. Kids' Programs

1,000 Books

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

This program encourages you to read 1,000 books to your child before he or she enters school. The program is self-paced and lets you decide how often and how long you read to a your child.

Scholastic animated childrens books. Log in to Power Library with your library card number, then choose Book Flix from the Education section.


Power Library KIDS

Power Library KIDS

The POWER Library is offered as a service of Pennsylvania's public libraries, school libraries and the State Library.

The POWER library allows you to access thousands of full text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, plus photographs, pictures, charts, maps, reference materials for young people and more. You will find materials of interest in most subject areas for all age groups from young children to adults.


2017 - Ready Rosie

Ready Rosie

ReadyRosie is an early education tool that is currently helping schools and communities across the nation deepen and scale their parent engagement efforts by leveraging the power of video modeling and mobile technology to meet and equip parents where they are. ReadyRosie has hundreds of brief videos in English and Spanish that model everyday interactions in familiar environments with real parents.
