The Beaver County Library System provides children with many opportunities to expand their interest in reading. In addition to the system-wide kids programs held at all of our member libraries, many locations offer other unique activities and programs for kids of all ages. Catch the Reading Bug!
Kids in pre-school through 6th grade read books as part of our insect-themed summer reading program. Reading programs begin June 2nd.
Battle of the Books
Participants read a number of pre-selected titles and write questions about each one. Then, using these questions, mock battles are held in order to prepare the readers for the final battles where they will face children from the other libraries. Registration begins May 1st. Reading begins June 1st.
