Ghost Bomber Unsolved.  History Alive - lecture series with the Heinz History Center

Ghost Bomber Unsolved

What really happened on that fateful day in 1956? Did a B-25 bomber vanish into the depths of the Monongahela, or is there more to the story? Bob Shema, Operations Director of the B-25 Recovery Project, will provide a gripping presentation with a keynote address from Leslie Przybylek, Senior Curator at the Heinz History Center. Seating is limited.  Door Prizes, Museum and Aircraft Tours, Warbird Raffle & Refreshments will be available.

History Alive
We hear that western Pennsylvania steel production was crucial to the Allied victory in World War II, but what did that really mean? Join Heinz History Center Senior Curator, Leslie Przybylek and explore some of the many ways that Western Pennsylvania steel companies and related industries, such as U.S. Steel, Jones & Laughlin, Allegheny Ludlum, and Mesta Machine helped win the war in the 1940s.

-FREE ADMISSION- no registration necessary

Social Worker at the Library

Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls has Jessi, our volunteer social worker, on Wednesdays from 12-2 pm! Come with all your questions. Jessi specializes in Social Security, Medicare, government forms, and resume writing. If you need help, Jessi is on it! This is a new, innovative social work/library collaboration.

Remember, library users (as in you!), are a big part of the success with our social worker.  Bring your questions, demonstrate need for a social worker in the library and that will keep Jessi coming back!😀
